Migos performed at the 2017 Awards and walked away with the Best Group award. Unfortunately, their night was not all honour and glory. Joe Budden changed the mood of the night with some shade which led to an altercation!
The build up to the altercation started when DJ Akademiks asking Takeoff why he did not have a verse on the group’s biggest single in 2016 an 2017, “Bad And Boujee.” Unfortunately, Takeoff didn’t take this as a joke as intended and Takeoff replied: “You said I’m left off ‘Bad and Boujee?’ Does it look like I’m left off ‘Bad and Boujee? ’”
Things escalated when the co-host, Joe Budden insinuated that the interview be concluded up by saying “Alright, we gotta wrap this up though” but Dj Akademiks continued chatting to Migos. This led to Joe Budden dropping his mic and walking off the interview platform. Consequently, Migos felt disrespected and a brief altercation ensued between the respective sides and their entourages, before security stepped in to calm the situation.
